Junction/Stage Boxes (Break-out Boxes)

Integrated Electronics manufactures and wire a range of stage boxes designed to meet the needs of Outside Broadcast vehicles, Mobile recording studios stage & conference use and other application where a durable, high quality, reliable unit is required.

The break-out boxes are manufactured using a top quality die-cast aluminium enclosures, incorporating a neoprene string gasket offering good resistance against oil, petrol and water ingress to 1P65 (DIN 40050). The standard colour is stove enamel RAL 7001.other colours are available on extended delivery. Circuit designation is provided for, by the inclusion of legend strips, comprising of black engraved characters on white traffolyte material. This gives clear channel identification and allows the opportunity to cater for specific individual customisation. Internal wiring is made using high quality twisted-twin foil-screened (FST01) audio microphone cable as standard, for this option each circuit is wired balanced' with independent isolated earth connection. A cheaper alternative can be manufactured using overall screened, solid core conductor cable. This option is used where isolated screens are not required. Also available is a high quality Star-quad wired version specifically designed for theatres where high electromagnetic interference caused by dimmers and thyristor-controlled lights is often experienced. Industry standard Cannon XLR 3-31 and 3-32 panel mounted connectors are used, alternatively, Neutrik or Switchcraft connectors can be fitted, without additional cost. A choice of panel mounted main multi-pole connector styles can be fitted, however the DEF 26 & Varicon/Edac are the most commonly available types used. Multicore extension cables for use with the DEF break out boxes are usually provided in multiples of 5 metres, (but any length can be made if requested). The longer lengths are usually supplied on a metal cable reel designed for ease of use and of storage.

Similar to the break-out boxes, multi-core cables are also supplied in various forms including, Star-quad and non star quad. Other connector styles can be manufactured to a specific order.
