General Properties for Proel Microphone cables.

Very flexible, high quality, individually screened twisted pairs jacketed cable. Suitable for fixed & mobile installation of microphone and line level signal and for the general connection of sound equipment.

Should be used where quality audio is needed such as in Recording studios Broadcast environment, Theatres, Rehearsal studios, and touring sound reinforcement.

Proel stock an extensive range of types covering a huge variation of overall diameters and a wide choice of jacket colour for identification.

Tough and strong flexible PVC jacket provides good resistance to abrasion & high insulation properties. Stranded conductors are used to increase cable flexibility.

Foil screened types.

Aluminium tape/foil gives 100% screen coverage. A drain wire is included, which simplifies screen termination. Intended for fixed studio use and permanent installations.

Braided copper screen.

High-density copper braid screening ensures high degree of flexibility whilst blocking stray RF and electrostatic noise. Ideal for rejection of mechanical handling noise. Intended for use in mobile situation or rough handling of cable whiles in use.

Proel Star quad cable (4-conductors per channel)

Star quad cables are most suitable for low level signals within hostile environments, especially near light controlling dimmers and other control systems for high power electrical circuits.

Mush better noise and Electro-magnetic rejection compared with conventional 2-conductor cables. Proel Star quad provides for excellent cross-talk rejection characteristics. This allows for vastly different signals to be routed near adjacent channels, even within the same Multicore cable.

Proel Guitar & Instrument Cables

Designed for connecting all types of stage instruments, such as guitar and bases and effects units to power amps and mixers. Usually made with single inner conductor surrounded with conductive plastic jacket; which in turn is covered with braided copper shield and external tough and flexible PVC outer jacket.

The inner conductors are made using large number of fine strands of high quality oxygen free copper. Attention is paid to construction details enabling this cable to exhibit low capacitance. This low capacitance ensures good all round frequency response.

Additionally, the thickness of the inner conductor will allow a low resistance path for the signal. This low resistance means that the cable (although not intended) may be used for connecting speakers to power amplifier, particularly for short runs usually under 30 metres.

Proel Speaker Cables

Proel manufactures speaker cables, designed for the distribution of signal from power amplifiers to speaker system and. Studio monitors. Made using a large number of fine, oxygen free, copper strands covered with a flexible but tough antiflame outer PVC jacket, available in blue and in black. Proel Speaker cables are available in 2, 4, and 8-conductors versions both in 1.5mm² and 2.5mm² sizes.
